So. I'm doing this partially to make sure I can post photos without making my computer explode, but also to remind myself that generally, Europe is awesome and so are the people I met in Germany (with the exception of one skank ho who shall remain nameless. Ahem.)

I *guess* I could live in a box ...

Man. MAN. House/flat hunting can bite my ass. This is so frustrating - coordinating people and places and blah blah blah "I dont want to be homeless"-cakes. I know it'll work out (and I've been gently reminded as such, several times over), but with this and finals approaching, I kind of just want to go to a corner and commence rocking back and forth for a few hours.

I'm also questioning why in the hell I chose to get a flight that wasn't direct. I know it's cheaper and lah di dah, but ew. Extra flying = not cool. At least I'll be stopping in Munich, which could ... spice things up? Probably not. Who knows! I may, if lucky, be the tannest person in Germany at that time. :)

PS

I'm also an idiot - I double posted my first post and had to republish the entire thing twice due to other technical mishaps. Whee, this is gonna be fuuuuuuuuuuuun.

And so it begins...

The fact that it took me about five minutes to pick a damn font shows how productive this blog shall make me. Anyway, though it's still a month + before I take off, this is created mainly so that I can keep track of what the eff actually happens while I'm in London this spring (2006, for posterity's sake).

I *hope* this isn't as screwy as I feared it might be (uh, the blog font color and the whole escapade of leaving in general), but it's something I definitely need to do. Getting away will hopefully give me some time to appreciate that wonderful climatic zone that is the upper midwest, along with securing a few job connections. (shut up. a girl can dream.)

In time, I'll probably get all fancy and shit and get a photo-hosting service, but that only happens once I have exciting photographic adventures to share. We shall see. Big plans, people - big plans.
